How Repify Works

The five-minute tour - what a rep is, and how the pieces fit together.

The rep is the unit

Everything on Repify is built around one idea: the rep. A rep is one attempt at one trainer - hear a chord and name it, play a scale and get it checked, sing a target note and see how close you landed. It's graded the moment you do it, not at the end of a session.

That's deliberate. A vague 20-minute "practice session" is hard to learn from, because you can't tell which five minutes actually helped. A rep is small enough to grade honestly, so your accuracy numbers mean something - and small, frequent, immediately-graded reps are also just how people retain skills best: little and often, with feedback close enough to the attempt that your brain can connect the two, beats one long cram every time.

Picking what to practice

Trainers are grouped into six categories - Ear, Voice, Guitar, Piano, Rhythm and Theory - each covering a specific skill, like naming chord qualities by ear or executing a scale from tab.

Most trainers have difficulty tiers, from Beginner up to Virtuoso, plus an Open mode where you set everything yourself. Open needs no account; the named tiers need a free account, and once you're signed in every tier is available straight away - start wherever feels right.

Building a workout

A workout is just a saved list of trainers with a rep count for each - build one once, then run it whenever. You can schedule workouts onto specific days, or just hit "Today's workout" and go.

You don't need a workout to practice, though. Every trainer page works standalone - open it, do some reps, done.

Tracking progress

Every graded rep is being tracked once you've got an account: accuracy per skill, a daily streak, XP toward your rank, and achievements for milestones along the way. None of that saves for a guest session, which is the main reason to sign up.

Where to start

If you don't know where to begin, pick one instrument or skill you actually care about right now and do ten reps. Don't try to cover everything on day one - the streak and the accuracy numbers reward showing up regularly far more than they reward a single long session.
